Laboratory
A state-of-the-art metals laboratory in Nairobi
Our in-house lab is among Kenya's most capable metal-testing facilities. It exists for two reasons: to prove the purity and grade of every lot NUEF exports, and to make that same analytical capability available to clients across the region.
Purpose 01
Verifying our own export products
Aluminium ingot, UBC, copper, gold and mineral concentrates are sampled and assayed before a container is sealed. The grade on the contract is the grade on the certificate — no lot ships unverified.
Lots tested before loading
100%
Purpose 02
Testing services for external clients
Miners, foundries, yards and exporters can submit samples directly. You get the same methods, the same instruments and the same documented certificate we issue on our own material.
Standard turnaround
24–72 hours
Capabilities

XRF & OES elemental assay
Non-destructive elemental scans on ingot, cathode, UBC bales and ore concentrate, with element-by-element breakdown.
±0.05% typical

Wet chemistry & fire assay
Gravimetric and titrimetric analysis for precious metals and complex mineral matrices where instrument scans need confirmation.
Au to 0.01 g/t

Physical & metallurgical checks
Moisture, density, bale integrity, coating and contamination assessment against the contracted specification.
8 test methods

Certificates of analysis
Every lot leaves with a signed certificate tied to the lot number, sample photographs and retained reference samples.
